It's not in harmony with rest of the car's styling. Maybe the designer was trying to make the M Sport front end more aggressive than the M3 ? The front end of my 2022 M340ix is very stylish and not hyper aggressive - well designed, IMO !

The interior dash design changes for 2023 are a step backwards. The lack of any HVAC dedicated buttons will be annoying for anyone driving a MY2023 !!! The very wide glass screen looks incongruous, plopped on top of the dash !

100 percent agree. Cost savings if you ask me…

So that's great they're coming with frozen colors for regular 3 series… and I swear I saw the m side mirrors in the video too…keep devaluing the actual M cars. They should keep those options only for the M cars. Now the only real difference will be the drivetrain smh

Other differences include suspension, brakes, differential, engine, gearbox, seats, body styling, wheels.. but sure add the M mirrors and they are the same car?

That's all the differences underneath obv. Of course the styling is a tad different, but they got fake side vents now etc. Any normal person isn't gonna know the difference of brakes and suspension etc and isn't the gearbox the same now? Interior is minor difference now with the big screen just trim and seats. They shouldn't have frozen colors on regular 3 series, those are for the higher end models on most manufacturers I can think of.

M3 has a manual gearbox option. You can get frozen anything with individual. The Z4 m40i has had the option on the build list for ages. Offering frozen paint on the 3 series is nothing new, you could get it on the G20 since 2019 in certain markets. Apart from offering brooklyn grey as a standard option color, mild exterior restyle, and id8 interior there is not much new here. Probably why the price only went up $150 for MY23 which is nice!

There's been a frozen Option on the G20. The M Performance M340 has a frozen Black one.

Not sure how I feel about the curved display, yes very modern, but really far from motorsport and the classic dash is gone, cleaning it behind could be a nightmare.

The quality is and look is definitely there.

You obviously kno nothing because you can order any car with frozen paint from factory if your willing to pay for it. You can also order from factor every carbon fiber part bmw makes added to any car. From factory. What makes a M car isn't that cosmetic shit. It's the engine the body and all that underneath stuff that was mentioned. Let me guess…..your gonna be super mad when the 2023 has a carbon roof option. Give me a break. People like you are just worried bc a "Regular" 3 can look better than your "Real" M if the owner knows what he's doing. The guy's mouth moves so slowly while he talks (also so slowly) the whole thing is tough to watch. I sped it up to 1.5x just to get a normal speaking speed.

BUT - at 2:03-ish he is mouthing "there are 4 petrol & 4 diesel engines" but they overdub the correct info "5 diesel engines".

So yep, you saw a disconnect at least there.
