Depending on the price, probably a worthwhile upgrade with OEM parts for pre-LCI M4s.

I missed the flat bottom wheel, at first. Good this is, this is an LCI, refresh, so, the wheel should fit our cars. If the carbon interior package fits it, with the paddles, I may get one. Then sell my car.

Would it be possible to fit new steering wheel in existing m340 2023.
Would G20 for the next refresh 2025 also get new laser rear lights ? |

They’ve actually already been doing it on the 2 and 3 series for months. Looks so odd and cheap.

Those tail lights are really beautiful.
Headlights are great too, but the highlight is the tail lights IMO. On the other hand, I wish 4 series concept headlights were implemented. I’m telling this because for the F32 generation, the headlights of the original concept were implemented in the LCI. I was hoping the same for G22.

I would “imagine” it would, since this is just an LCI. It’s still a G Model 3 series. Just a bumper and light refresh. With maybe a few other bits and bobs tossed in.

Yeah but what will an owner who’s ashamed to have it there supposed to do now. Paint it black?

Tail lights are fire!
But kinda disappointed that we see the same iteration of the steering wheel for 4th year in a row(?). I was hoping for a changed design. Otherwise a nice facelift. However won't see this car flying off the shelves as the updates are rather minute and the secondary market is still in total tatters. Last edited by IAMXX; 01-30-2024 at 06:48 PM.. |

I had the ///M badge on the back of my Z4 M40 and never felt quite right about it, but I also didn’t want 40i back there by itself. By historic BMW standards the straight-line performance is there with the b58 + mild hybrid, but the brakes, suspension, interior, etc doesn’t measure up to the ///M logo. I would prefer they leave it off the 440i - it’s just branding - and if I purchased one I’d probably remove it. The 40 in 440 used to stand for something strong by itself going back to at least the 540i 6 speed we had in 1997 (well, displacement, but I digress…).

Do you really think there are, err, ‘M-Lite’ owners who are ashamed to have M identities on their vehicles? It seems that other marketing departments are all falling into the same trap e.g. AMG appearing on practically every Merc I see. There is clearly revenue opportunities from this approach, but it would be nice to see the M’s further amped up and get their own branding again. I’ll wait to be flamed on this, but maybe it’s time for the Audi approach of something like S and RS?

Looks like they are finally offering the M Seats for the M440i in the US based on the interior pics. This should also apply to the MY25 M340i LCI Part 2 which is great news.

I’ve been driving a 4 Series without the gear selector for 5 months and it makes no difference. Other than it’s easier to get to your cup holders and wireless charger, which is a plus.

“There have been countless of social media comments bashing the oversized nostrils, but it turns out, BMW might be onto something. The BMW 4 Series family (coupe, convertible and gran coupe, including the i4) had 50,777 sales in 2023, compared to 36,954 in 2022. That's exactly an increase of 37.4 percent. To put things in context, the better looking, at least in our opinion, G20 BMW 3 Series only had 33,997 units sold to customers in 2023.” Source: BMWBlog |
