With the M competition models having black badges it’s not easy to identify the model on the black front grill or rear with a dark exterior color. But a full M will smoke your a*s and you’ll know it.

Right, the M440i is probably the last M Performance model to get the M badge in the grille, not the first.

on the flip side most of the m-lites will destroy the older true M models.

A configurator is available already. Seems like the ambient lighting has been cheapened out on and also a lot of nice chrome elements from the interior are gone. Looks a lot more plastic-y, to be honest. Oh... and some leather options have been cut. Red is now only in Sensatec, for example. Here is a comparison to the current pre-LCI Gran Coupe:

Where did you find the configurator? The US version is not the LCI yet.

I don't want to believe this - but it looks like ventilated seats option is gone, that's a nightmare not to have it on a cabrio

Edit: it seems that ventilated seats are M4 only

The steering wheel has the same button and driving assist light cutouts as my 8 series. Presumably I would be able to swap this out?
