I’m looking to get some yellow drl’s on my lci m340i but have heard about peoples modules failing at times. For those who have gotten ice driver or bayoptiks is there a more reliable one?

I have been through this thread, but it's primarily people talking about ice driver modules failing, and wanted to see if getting bayoptiks would make a difference, as well as how many successful installs have there been (drl's lasting over a few months).

I just ordered the Bay Optiks yellow drl. I'll respond back once I get them installed. They said they do come with a 1 year warranty but hoping for no issues

FYI for non-laser pre-LCI DRLs, it looks like you can get them here for $50 cheaper and it appears to be the same product. They're showing the same car in the images on both the Bayoptiks and HM sites.

They haven't came yet (or even shipped); I emailed them for a status update. Have my tools all ready to go!

I have several ice driver pairs and non of them ever failed. Granted I glued them to the heatsinks myself, not buying a complete board.

But the led modules are solid.

Dang, well worth it imo. Let me us know how it holds up, thinking about buying a pair soon over the ice driver set.

Will do! They do come with a 1 year warranty; but even if they're replaced free I'm hoping to not go through all those steps again lol
