Hi

I am looking to get a new 3 series in the next few months, and will have IDrive 8.5

I am a big music fan while driving and have spent the last few months downloading a lot of hi res music in flac format including the album artwork in various sizes on flash drives.


2 weeks ago I had a 3 day trial in a 3 series with IDrive 8 ,and thought it would be a good test of my artwork skills.

I did various sizes from 1500x1500 that would not show up , and various sizes all the way down to 400x400. Even something like 1200x1200 did not look particularly sharp compared to the native built in spotify app that looked really good.


Any ideas how I can get the artwork to look as good .

Not sure if it's a size thing or quality thing.

What works for me is the following;

Album Art maximum size 1.000x1.000px

Use a program like Mp3Tag (https://www.mp3tag.de/en/) to tag the audio files with the correct cover album. Alot of music I download comes with tagged album covers that are not compatible for displaying in iDrive 8.5. You need to remove them and add a new one with above specs.
