I wonder if they are discontinuing ED altogether for the 3 series given the Mexico plant.

Some cars do have an ED delay, where you cannot do ED until X months in to the new model year production. Hopefully that's the case. At the very least I hope the M3 is made in Germany so we can enjoy ED again.
Maybe you can do "MD", Mexican Delivery

Melbourne Red is only available on the "Sport" and "Luxury Line" models, not available on M-Sport Package sadly

My 340's lease is up in early June. If I can get my hands on one of these, I'd be up for it, but I'm guessing I can get an M550 for not much more. I live in Boston, and I'm sure they'll be looking for MSRP when these first come out.

I doubt m550 will be close to anything starting with 3. Get 550 if u can. The 3er will always be a 3er.

I like a smaller car. But BMW doesn't offer me an option for better seat material (nappa, merino) in the 3 series. I would pay for it but they don't let me.

That is my biggest problem with the BMW system. They seem to assume that the smaller the car, the cheaper it has to be when, in many instances, the opposite should be true.

Is there a major vehicle manufacturer that doesn't employ this same system?

Pissed about no more red seats. Love them on my 340 and get a ton of compliments.. my lease is up in August & BMW is screwing with me with their release date of the M340i too. What would you guys do, m sport 540 or wait for M340.

Bmw will let you extend lease by up to 3 months no questions asked and 6 months if you have a car on order. Time it out so your m340 lands in December for holiday deals.

Another benefit of extensions worth noting is any extensions are prorated.. meaning it ends the day you turn the car in

Merino and red seats will both be available via BMW Individual, per https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1557402

That will make a M340i very interesting to me in three years (when my loaded 5 series will be four years old).

All true, but my lease is about $650, so that adds close to $2K to the cost of the car for a 3 month extension, and since I will have to pay for an additional year registration, it'll be over $2K.

Just starting to research the G20. Has BMW said NO to the diesel for the US market? I saw that the wagon has been abandoned as of now

So you can realistically expect to pay around $38k for an x drive with a few options with some aggressive negotiations or a exec demo unit with low or no miles.

Has anyone tried to order a G20 with the 1t3(none run flat tire) option? Local dealer said it's not available and the vehicle must be ordered with run-flat tires!

don't you have to get m sport with the package that has m sport brakes and limited slip differential and adaptive suspension. I think that's the only way to get it

I thought the only requirement is 300(space save spare).

? Availability of CD Drive

I see this option:
"65A CD Player Prep"

Given no apparent CD slot in the center dash, anybody know what this option is? Is this some type of trunk-mounted unit...like in the "olden days"

glove box probably. Audi has it there now. I'd rather just not have it at all personally and have a bigger glove box
