iPhone & Screen mirror on ID7

Hi All,

Ok so I know you can mirror the screen of an android phone on the centre screen but is it possible to do this with an iPhone? It would be great to watch a so downloaded CBBC programs when I'm parked up with the 2 year old in the car is all.

Just wondering if anyone has been able to mirror the iPhone screen. Obvs I get the sound through the car when I play a movie at the mo but no pic. Is this something that can be done?

Any advice/help would be great guys!

Unless you can jailbreak your phone (not sure model and iOS version you have) the answer to this would be no!

You can put non-copy protected films/ programmes on a USB stick and play them on the display though which is cool

Maybe worth buying a cheap android phone then. I don't know how I'd cope sitting around at son's football training without a few Netflix downloads to watch. Eyes aren't what they used to be so struggle with just the phone screen

Probably simpler to get an iPad, even secondhand, as they are better and bigger for Netflix downloads!!

As stated, you'd need to jailbreak an iPhone and install carbridge.

It's a faff to setup but once working is great. Note it won't work with drm enabled apps unless you install iOS 10. That rules out Netflix, etc.

Plex, Kodi and YouTube will work natively in CarPlay with carbridge.

Might be easier to load a large usb drive with videos and use that instead
