Yes that’s true but the dealer said it was 12 weeks absolute maximum if I did a PCP without using Alphabet, i.e. a private purchase.

Well next week is Week 8 which is build week for my M340i ( ordered 31-01-21)

Yes I was told the same back in August! But I guess it was a lie

[joking aside, they apologised and put the delay down to the various lockdowns in Europe and the UK over winter, which is possible I suppose]

I ordered my G20 330e on 12th December 2019, delivery took place on 1st September 2020. I suffered the normal Christmas shutdown, a 3 month CV19 production shutdown in Munich, which included the engine plant, UK port issues and everything else that happened during 2020 🙈

6 months wasn't bad in my opinion.

Surely they can't still be using lockdown excuses 🤔

Just had the call.... Dealer delivering on Friday the 5th... number plate issued and quite funky

The wait is over and certainty resumes....

So genius states the factory have my order but its now awaiting scheduling and I should check weekly.

Anyone have any experience of how long between submission and having a scheduled start?

Order is a G21 330e MSport, if that helps anyone

It was almost straight after order ( one day after) - but the dealer had a build slot .

Thanks Alpine, I think my order has just joined the queue

Its a company lease so I don't get too much flex and I suspect that the dealer prioritises general public over fleet.

Ill keep checking, hopefully get confirmed slot soon!

On the contrary, see my posts on this in this thread. Alphabet (BMWs leasing arm) have lots of build slot allocation.

The company I work for source cars through Lex Autolease, and they are instructed to get all BMW's from Sytner Leicester?

We have thousands of cc drivers in the UK all requesting test drives and fighting for manufacturing slots.

Most people are waiting 2 months for a bloody test drive through them ðŸ™ˆ

You can imagine our office car parks throughout the UK resemble a BMW dealers what with the BIK rates pushing most towards G20 & G30's ðŸ‘ðŸ»

UPDATE - Genius told me now due for delivery 11th march! thats gone from 10th may to 11th march in 2 weeks

Hoepfully that is the case Xenon, but I fear I may be in a similar spot to Seelark, mine is through 'Leaseplan' and its Jardine in Milton Keynes actually handling the order.

Just a case of waiting for my build slot - I know its in the queue to be allocated so fingers crossed my experience is similar to Thomashunt1.

Will update when I get a status change!

Yes maybe it’s only BMW’s own leasing arm that gets the quicker slots but good luck. I had an e46 back in the day from Leaseplan which was pretty quick.

Yes it’s 1950s technology. Make sure you using Chrome or edge (won’t work on ie). Do the odd refresh and you’ll get on eventually
