My car is due to arrive in a few days and I just participated the UDE and send me the code for $1,000 credit. Should my dealer honor it?

Have you asked the dealer if they will? I believe technically you could still refuse delivery of the car if it came down to that, so they should honor it.

They didn’t honor it. Not applicable on cars already ordered. 🤔 I guess I could have said no deal. Give me my $500 refund and work our a new deal! The guy was alright. I had a pretty good deal over all I believe so I didn’t make a fuss.

Bummer. It could very well be the dealer simply not willing to rather than something they "can't" do. But I agree, not worth the hassle or ethical dilemma of refusing the delivery if you've already gotten a pretty good deal and if they've generally treated you well.

Mine initially said yes too but when I went to sign he said upper management said no. Best of luck to you. Hope you get it.

I have 3 remaining payments on my M3 (each about $1,000). My CA is trying to get me out of my car now and into an M340i. She found one spec'd closely to what I want. MSRP on the vehicle is $60,495. She comes back at me today with an offer $950/month payment, but the dealer would cover my remaining payments.
I just plugged the numbers into the leasehackr calculator, and I find it virtually impossible for them to come up with that number. Even with 0% off MSRP and full mark up on MF, $4,000 in credits (Lease, loyalty, drive event). The monthly payment would come to $843. Even if you divided the remaining $3,000 on my M3 and rolled it into the next vehicle's payment, it would still come out to under $950. I'm totally shocked that they came at me with such a ridiculous offer.

Get out the lube. They’re thinking you’ll be okay with a similar payment for a lite M. I would pay no more than $600 with $0 down. You should hit up some of the forum dealers here and the other BMW site.

I need 15k miles/year and our sales tax is high here. So I'm not going to get even close to $600/mo especially considering I have to factor in my remaining payments on my current car. But that being said, they are clearly off base with such a ridiculous offer and I feel insulted honestly. She did not give a breakdown of the deal, just gave me the monthly payment and out-of-pocket. I'm convinced they aren't even running real numbers...they just picked a random monthly payment, threw it at me and are expecting me to just accept it like a dumbass

Trying to rip you off to the max... what a moron CA, i'd feel highly insulted if they threw some shit at me like that... 950 for a 60k car doesn't even come no where close to 1% rule to get a basis. Getting me heated just thinking of it.

Just for the fuck of it, you should ask them for a breakdown just so you can see where they are ripping you off. Also show it to us here.

The crazy thing about this is I've used her as a CA for my last 2 cars, but now she's at a different dealership. So you'd think that as a repeat customer and trying to pull me out of the other dealer's market, they'd be somewhat aggressive. She was acting all sweet and giving me the "we're going to work super hard to get you the best monthly payment". It looks like they did the opposite and are trying to get me the worst monthly payment possible. She knows damn well this isn't my first rodeo and I know how leasing works. I'm still in shock at their offer.

Goes to show how little power the CA actually has. They may be able to influence a percent here or there, but overall if the dealer doesn't have a history of offering aggressive, volume based pricing, you likely won't have any luck no matter who the CA is.

Time to start calling around different dealers to see who can give you the best pricing. Or maybe even try a broker if you don't want to waste time calling around. Let them do the work for you. I still want to know how the hell they got 950/month lol
