I've taken my previous cars to the same dealership and SA with various mods and they never care or give me grief. I do disable the JB4 before dropping off, but I don't go through the headache of removal or any of that.

They call me after having it for a day (they were busy) and told me that the engine code was related to over boosting and A/F ratio variance. They say it's related to the 'flash' and that I need to actually remove it from the car and bring it back in for them to see if anything really happened. I'm calling BS on most of it, given that they wern't even able to correctly identify the JB4 in the first place, but I have no tool or way of checking G series fault codes (or clearing them) myself currently. The JB4 doesn't officially support this chasis yet. Anyways, kind of unsure what to do at this point given they noted it on my paperwork

For now it is disabled.

Most dealers have no clue what JB4 is.

Most of the techs know exactly what a JB4 is. If you are running one there just isn't a reason not to uninstall before bringing the car in. If you aren't going to uninstall you might as well go the flash tune route.

Air mass fault is normal some times when you're pushing higher levels of boost. I get it all the time even with a back-end-flash. Future reference don't take your car to the dealer with a JB4 plugged in.

Considering installing my leftover jb4 from 340i, I scouted access thru firewall it's easy. Anyone have any logs on a m340i? Isn't discussed at all on Terry's site.

Why wouldn't Burger Tuning mention this? The Supra and M340 would be tuned differently, no?

I'd have to dig up the specifics, but the cars do have different parts (DP, Turbo). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Just wondering how things have been with the JB4 in your car, performance, reliability so far, more codes?, I just return my VW GTI lease which I had a JB1 for 3 years, zero issues and great performance upgrade.

I got me a M340i Xdrive 2 weeks ago, already thinking on getting a JB4 by the end of this month or next month by latest.

Thanks!

Logs look perfect!

I rather look at the csv but can’t believe how much boost and timing it has

Far better than my 440 mppsk with jb4

How’s it feel ?

Whoever this is just fucked themselves. Next real warranty claim with this documented....they will trace back to it.

Yes indeed... It is prudent to take off any piggybacks when taking it to the dealership, no matter how long you knew or friendly you are with the SA. Technician could report it and leave it as a permanent record. Hopefully it could be worked out for him... Best of luck.

Everything's been great.. I'm almost at 5k miles with no issues, however i did need to add a quart of oil around 4k, which i saw many m340 owners have occur to them as well.

It might be the oil level sensor.
