iDrive Colour Scheme in 330e Since Software Update
I had my 330e in at the dealer during the week to get a squeeky sunroof looked at and like all good bimmerposters I asked them to update the software while it was in.
Since I got it back the Idrive colour scheme has gone from the "Eco Blue" to "BMW Orange" in all modes (previously Electric and Hybrid were blue, Sport was orange). Has anyone had any experience of this? I can't for the life of me find a setting to change this back. See attached photos. Thanks, Ben. Previously: Now: |

Nobody has replied, therefore I assume nobody has a definite answer.
It could be worth trying to reset it by holding down the volume button of the radio for 30 second until the screen goes black. When the screen resets itself, maybe the colour will go back to blue or maybe it won’t. It can’t do any harm, so it’s worth a try. |

Thanks for the reply. I tried that but it had no effect. It got me thinking about it a bit more and I decided on the "nuclear" option (which actually wasn't nearly as severe as I thought it would be.
I did a "Reset Vehicle Data" from Settings/General Settings and it immediately (even before it went through it's reboot cycle) corrected the colours. It was then just a matter of redoing some of the settings. It remembered my phone connection and saved radio stations but wiped stored music (no biggie). It remembered my seat position (or rather it kept it as it was), but the memory position was gone (quickly re-added). So in summary, I'm happy again and the level of reconfiguring the vehicle wasn't too arduous. |
