BMW Ultimate Care+ and other maintenance plans
Just picked up a new 2021 M340. Of course, the finance office tried to get me to buy all sorts of add-ons I declined. However, I'm wondering what your approaches were.
Did you get ultimatecare+? Why? UltimateCare scheduled? Why? I tried to get a list of required service and service costs to compare, but they couldn't provide it. Planning to keep this at least 5 years, but maybe not much after? I purchased through BMWFS.

If I don't resurface rotors or replace pads or any other significant brake services within 3 years it will be a wasted investment. My only reference from past experience was the Infiniti Q50, which I had brake issues within the 3 year lease each time. I guess time will tell if BMW is similar. I declined the rest of the options as I didn't see the value. |

Here's a tip. Get ultimate care + now (if you can). It's a cheap upgrade and includes more wearable such as wiper blade inserts, brakes, etc. If you get it now you can upgrade additional years through service for the then current yearly price.
If you decline plus now, service will charge way more $ for it in the future.

Everything being sold by the F&I person is a ripoff. You do know that a substantial amount of dealership profit is now generated by the scare tactics shoveled out while you're signing the paperwork?
I buy a car about once a year and my standard line when being introduced to the F&I person is, "I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but in order to save us both a lot of time, my answer is no to everything" Peace of mind is a very, very expensive commodity. |

As to a maintenance plan advantage mostly covering the high cost of pad/rotor replacement; I'm 75, keep my cars for 100/150k miles and do my own easy inexpensive brake pad replacement. I have never had to replace a rotor on any car.

Does the price for Ultimate Care+ vary by state? I was quoted a much higher price for the 3yr/36k miles than the $500/$600 I am seeing on here.
