Just installed mine. Ordered from AutoTeknic, came in about 5 calendar days from time of order. Well packaged, probably over packaged honestly, but appreciated.

Install wasnt hard but getting the old button out was VERY frustrating and as other stated I got a tiny piece of fishing string that was pretty much useless.

Had some old double sided 3M tape laying around so I cleaned the OEM button, applied enough 3M tape to cove the entire surface area of the button, kinda looked like an upside down capital T so you have a "handle" to pull up on, let the tape sit about an hour (tried 5 mins and 15 minutes with no luck) and BOOM pulled that little bugger right off no issues

I ordered a red start/stop button from an eBay vendor; here's the link:

While it was from a Chinese vendor, I received in a little over 2 weeks; included in the package was a tiny screwdriver and a wad of some really sticky stuff. After about 3 attempts, the old button popped right out and the new fit perfectly -- looks like @Banana Clipper in above post.

Looks great at night -- light shines through lettering & provides a slight glow (red, of course).

I received the red button today via AliExpress. Not extremely satisfied as the G from ENGINE looks a bit misaligned. You can also see this in some of the pictures above. Not sure yet if I will install this red button.

The misaligned ENGINE letters really triggers me.

Ironically the crystal one shown by someone in first page looks like it has perfect aligned ENGINE, but none i found in internet has properly Red button alignment word.

By any chance you have the repair kit number? I asked the dealer about the m3 repair kit and the amount was absurd... Above 700dlls

Yikes! .....but there is the surround and the parking brake button which are obviously not needed in most cases and bumping up the price.

Have you noticed that not much light shines through the letters at night ? It annoys me but maybe it’s just the one i got
