Winter tyres for OEM 791m wheels
I have OEM 791m wheels, 19". What size winter tyres are best to use? Current summer tyres are 225-40 front and 255-35 rear. I'm struggling to find a tyre that comes in both those sizes with half decent reviews. Can I go 225-40 on the 8.5" rear wheels? The car is G21 320d Xdrive. Looking for next winter now, nowhere to store my current summer tyres till I move house later in the year where I'll have my own garage. Not interested in a 2nd set of rims. Thanks

Yes.... why didn't i think of that.. oh yes i already did. I was asking for owners actual experiences please. Yes a 225 theoretically fits a 8.5" rim but it doesn't mean it's any good/safe/reccomended. Anyone got any more helpful advice please? Tyres brands you've used. Sizes you've actually used etc. Thanks

‘Can I go 225-40 on the 8.5" rear wheels?’ My reply didn’t deserve a sarcastic response. No problem thou.... I won’t respond again to your posts. I’ll spend my time doing something else.

Why not go for all seasons so you don't have to swap?

I fear I'd regret choosing all seasons the first time the snow was bad and wish I had the full winters. They are a compromise in summer and in winter no?
