2/26 on phone from BMW Genius, informed that it had already left the factory about 4 days before (2/23?) and was in-transport to the Port of Departure (Veracruz?)... I was told to expect on average a transit time of about 5 days, from SLP plant to Port of Departure.

... waiting... still nothing... MyBmw still showing "Ready for transport"

3/7 online MyBmw tracking **finally** updates again: Awaiting carrier assignment

3/8 Dispatched from factory
Followed by update to
3/8 At the port ... (wtf, so fast, is this Port of Departure or Arrival???)
Follow by update to
3/8 In transit (I'm in a glass cage of emotion)

TBD At the dealership

Timeline update.

And I have no idea why 2 weeks later it updates at light speed. After the 1st week post-completion post-Ready for transport updated (2/19), still no online change, but Genius informed me it was already being transported to the Port of Departure.

Then 2 weeks later, online updates this weekend at light speed, blowing through Awaiting carrier assignment > Dispatched from Factory > At the port > IN TRANSIT.

Does anyone know if at this stage if 'At the port' meant Departure, and it's in-transit it's just on the ship?

Or by the time it reaches THIS update, it really is on it's way to the dealership ???

From my experience it looks like the tracking updates are sluggish at the end so Awaiting Carrier Assignment and stages in between to In Transit will usually happen over the span of a few hours, maybe batch updated.

Based on my recent tracking experience, At the port can mean either from Departure or in-transit. The ship sometimes stops by multiple locations/port before its final destination. A lot of times the BMW website tracking info is lagged or not accurate.
My build is currently at SC processing station but the website shows At the Port.

That looks beautiful - that contrast of black and white. Driving Asst Pro is the one option I passed on, so you will have to let me know how beneficial you found it at some point.

I hope that it clears VPC soon as well.

Carrier/ship = Glovis Cardinal

BMW Genius said it was supposed to head out to sea 3/8, but *actually* it left EARLY

3/4

Tracking via marinetraffic.com shows it already offshore from Galveston TX

Estimated arrival date is 3/17 - (I'm assuming that's arrival to Port, not dealership)

I am on Glovis Cardinal too with Baltimore drop off.

I can't seem to find the full schedule but is Galveston the only stop before Baltimore or is it going to stop in Jacksonville as well.

Looks like the Cardinal is stopping in Brunswick (just north of Jacksonville) first.

Edit: Mine is still sitting at the factory complete waiting for a ship assignment
