Yeah opted to not get executive package specifically because I didn’t want gesture control.

Indeed, if you don't get the right wheel package, you won't get the 840 option which ups car's top end to 155mph
No worries!

I guess it can be disabled though, but I simply didn't feel I needed to spend any more money than I already am.

Really the only benefit of Executive Package for me are the laser lights.

Yeah, that's the only thing I momentarily considered but realized I didn't need them.

Same. I got basically every other option besides executive package and the auto trunk open.

I went for the auto trunk open because I've never had it before and figured it may come in handy every now and then. Not to mention it was only a few hundred bucks.

I did get the exec package, and the gesture control is a waste and makes passengers laugh out loud when you demo it for them, but I wanted everything else in the package.

Strangely I'm really wishing I had gotten the auto trunk so I could close it with my hands full, or without touching the deck lid. Now I generally pull down on the latch hook.

Same boat on the auto trunk... wish I got it, purposely didn't, but now I ask my self what I was thinking... near daily convenience

Everytime I've seen the gesture control demo'd, the reviewer activates or deactivates something they were not intending to. It looks useless (aside from the official BMW marketing demo) where not surprisingly, it works well.

Haven't gotten the car yet but maybe I should have added the M suspension. Have it on the X6. Did a post asking the group if I should get the M suspension or not. It was 50/50 from the crew. The current Msport 340i doesnt have the M suspension. Probably falls into the category of you cant miss what you don't have for me (LOL).

What is the current Msport 340I? Are you talking about the standard M340i?? If so, it does come with M Sport suspension. I'm wondering if you're thinking of the optional adaptive suspension?

Note: formally speaking this car is categorized as an M Performance model, not to be confused with an M Sport package on a regular 3er. Trust me, I've had this conversation on another forum around here with "true M car" owners....

Best thing about the gesture control is that it's easy to turn off

You are correct it is the Optional Adaptive Suspension. Yes we all know about the "True M Car" owners. Half of them are poseurs anyway. Lol. I know a few here in Brooklyn. Their cars have never seen the track or used to it's truest potential. Stop light drag racing and wreckless highway driving get them excited. May of them are more enamored with the the label more than anything else. I better be careful as I might cause a war - lol

I thought I was going to miss the laser lights from my last car, but I don't miss them at all. The LED's illuminate my dark winding roads very well. (And I really don't miss those yellow warning stickers, seeing them on those beautifully designed headlights annoyed the $hit out of me)

But after 2 months, I find myself missing gesture controls of all things Everybody complains about them, but I never realized how much I used them. They always worked for me, unless I was showing to someone, then they never worked. But by myself, they never missed a command.

My HUD is certainly not visible with mine on but my vision certainly isn't stellar!!
Depends on the polarized glasses... some work OK with HUDs. Otherwise just tilt your head a little .
I have a pair of Maui Jim polarized sunglasses and Oakleys (for when I misplace the damn Maui Jims) both prescription. With the Oakleys the HUD disappears. With my MJs I can kinda see it depending on my angle.

I disagree, trying to use it for setting the volume, yes, but for setting the Satnav to drive to your home address, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way. Same for muting the volume.

I wouldn’t want to lose it.
