Didn't think TLA was supported in UK? My car is on 11/2020 and says its not supported.

Be happy if its being enabled soon.

I do, but have methods that are pretty efficient so it only takes 10-15 minutes for all 'existing' coding to be restored.

Then another few days to figure out what's new

I used to use E-Sys on the F31 - is that still the preferred tool?

For coding or programming?

I use esys for coding and ISTA for programming.

Dealers use ISTA, much lower risk than esys as it checks for known issues and blocks by model, does pre checks, works out what needs to be programmed and/or VO coded, then does a load of post upgrade checks and actions including import of FSC where activation campaigns are in effect. Only thing it can't do is an online fasta update, as no connection to dealer intranet, so will need hooking up to a dealer system if there is a need for a backend update at that level.

It's more complex, but the principals are mostly the same.

Lane Change Assist was the first coding I published for the ID7 platform cars, back in 2019. TLA coding is in the same ECU's as LCA, but you will need latest esysx to code it.

I posted the TLA coding at the link below, including some newer DAP system codes:

I've not posted any instructions. It's very much DIY from my perspective.

I don't know any pro coders, but Baron G15 has had it coded successfully I believe.

It can and has been successfully enabled in coding on G20 in the UK. You need 11/2020 i-step or later.

It's not looking likely that BMW will retrofit the MY21 DAP features to earlier MY, so it's either coding or buy a newer model.

Next to zero.

They'll claim hardware dependency as the stock reason, which basically means they don't want the hassle and cost of testing against multiple old hardware combinations, to enable features that will otherwise encourage owners to buy a new model.

I have a MY19 with all the current DAP features available on MY21, with no apparent hardware issues. I'd need to test drive a loaded MY21 to compare 100% but everything seems to work as expected with 1000's of miles on the clock.

I'm sure that the iX will have newer hardware, and it's systems won't be possible to be coded due to that h/w dependency.
