Anyone know how I can enable being able to see my text messages on the the iDrive screen? None of my messages show up and I have the show notification turned on on my iPhone.

Hi Shawn can I get the latest PSDZdata, car finally received the 07/2020.80 upgrade.
I had additional questions, I save the SVT and the FA files each time I add a new coding. Can I load those back into esysx or is the only way to just update the coding manually? Also not sure how the diff tool works in EsysX or what it's useful for. Thanks!! |

You can load saved SVT and FA, but these files contain no coding data, and should be same as what is stored in car.

Hmm what does contain the coding data? Basically I want to save my codings, then load them into the car with the updated software. I wasn't clear on how to do that part, especially with EsysX. Thanks for any help! |

You would have to reread ECU after FDL Coding, and then save the corresponding .ncd file. However, I would not load any backed up .ncd from old CAFD "A" and restore it into new CAFD "B", and there is no guarantee they are same alignment.

Hi Shawn, my G20 just got the 07/2020.80 update, can I please get the link to download the latest PSDZdata Lite? Thanks!
For everyone else, I wanted to share my experience just in case anyone else is patiently waiting for their update: my G20 was finally updated from 11/2019.70 to 07/2020.80 today via the Vehicles Remote Software Upgrade. It took 5 hours (i.e.: lost 50 miles as I had my car running in the parking lot and I would check on the status every hour, it was dreadfully slow) for the 1.2gb update file to transfer via my Android phone’s BMW Connected app “vehicle upload” “uploading software” option (I had my phone plugged into the charger and screen lock disabled). Once the upload was completed, the update itself indicated it would take 20mins to complete, checked back in an hour and it was successfully completed. Crossing fingers, the 11/2020.xx update won’t take that long if my vehicle ever receives it. On a side note when I scheduled my G20’s annual oil change/maintenance last month. I asked for an idrive update to either 07/2020.xx or 11/2020.xx be included as I needed/wanted the Android Auto feature. I was informed I was the 2nd person that requested it via phone but 1st person that came in for it. Then was told it would cost me $150 (I think per hour), I respectfully declined; considering how much time it took to complete, I now understand why my dealership was wanting to bank on it.

I updated from v.4.25.12_PSdZData_Lite to v.4.27.20_PSdZData_Lite and after doing so EsysX does not connect to my car. I moved the old psdzdata folder and did not merge it.
When I move the old version back, it connects again. Does that mean I need a newer EsysX? I'm assuming I shouldn't try to code with the 4.25.12 PSDZdata since my sw version is 07/2020.80. These are the versions I have: Esys Version: 3.34.0 EsysX version: 3-03154 IspiHost: 2.6.5.1 |

Try connecting using 4.27.20 and direct with E-Sys, bypassing E-SysX. If you have same issue, something is wrong with your psdzdata.

Hi,
I have some basic questions please: I want to start coding basic stuff with Esys and EsysX. (1) How much space do I need on my win10 ? As of right now I only have like 25-35 free GB. Will this be enough for everything ? I think PSdZData light should be fine for coding? (2) Is the win10 bootcamp version on MacBook okay for EsysX 3.36.2 and EsysX ? (3) If 2 = yes how is the stability ? with adapter to enet etc? good enough ? (4) My car is a g20 330e. So it should be good enough to fully charge it before coding? I don't need a separate charger? thanks in advance guys! |

Working with EsysX, but they will be able to help tomorrow. I have a long driving trip Saturday I hope I can figure it out before then. Posting some pics of what I'm doing and seeing.
The first image is when using either the 4.27 or 4.26 PSDZData, last one is when using the original 4.25. |

If the "Open Connection" window under "Target" is empty (no targets), verify the following:

Curious, why do these later PSDZData_Lite archives not contain those folders? Unless they never have, and something in the setup of EsysX is wonky and creates them for the first set? Awesome support! |
