The difference between the LX and MX+ was added support for cars from GM and Ford IIRC. It didn't affect our BMWs (both worked via bluetooth and speed is the same). Our cars also support the OBDLink CX. So it shouldn't be an issue. But you can mail Stephan and ask him, to double check. Edit - Just checked the OBDLink website. The CX is made specifically for Bimmercode and can access all modules. Get that one https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-cx/

just finished coding sport + on my samsung phone using MHD wifi adapter
went smoothly and similar to the other guy you get a parking light malfunction but just turn the car on and off and you're good throttle is more touchy in sport plus but i dont notice any difference in transmission shift speed definitely a lot more pops like double the amount of pop length and a bit louder too costed $150 in total but worth it i guess |

Good morning,
I have found this forum to be very informative but I have a question on coding Sport+ with bimmercode. I drive a G20 330i and already have Sport+ as default (Sport -> Sport+ -> Sport Individual). Is the option that bimmercode offers different from the default settings? |

Yesterday I tried to use Bimmercode to change my Instrument Cluster to M performance style. I found HUD content also changed especially when I turn ACC on, I can see a car icon, distance and also the speed limit that I set.
However, I want to change instrument cluster back to normal because I lost a lot of info (such as drive mode) on that. I love the HUD info it showed in M performance style. Is there any way to enable that HUD info in normal style mode? |

Go to your car setting on idrive -> Displays -> Instrument cluster and you can change from map to that mode. |

Just coded sport + with the help of all of you - Thank you!
I mainly feel the trans logic change but don't feel much of anything else. Without a doubt, I did it correctly as I can see the changes on my cluster and center screen + launch control. |

I did found the problem which caused by showing sports mode (Tachometer) on HUD. When I turn it off, the ACC info shows! However, I'm just curious if any possibility to code it for showing both in the same time. |

M135i.
Sport Plus, makes my car more alive and the exhaust on start up is noticeably more rumble and pop. Have enabled a setting which has sport sound come up in the menu with I think it says balanced and auto or something like that. The M Menu is nice but nothing can be enabled. Either it only applies to M cars which will have the hardware necessary or have just not enabled the correct codes. It would be extremely time consuming with so many variables let alone having to translate every one to see Will send pictures if anyone’s interested |

If it persists, check your notifications on the idrive. There will be a check control message there. Or if there isn't any notification, check vehicle status in settings and see if you can find out why that exclamation mark is present.

Naa. It's usually an error thrown up due to coding which goes away when you turn the car off and back on again

Someone on here contributed to the expert mode cheat sheet thread and changed FesSportWorldMode2 to SportExpert in addition to FesSportWorldMode1. He didn't know the difference between the two. Has anyone changed Mode2 in addition to Mode1 too? What does changing that one do?

Nah, I think you're good there. My car was just in for service with startup mode defaulted to Sport+ and they said nothing. However, they did warn me that a tune was detected (BM3). Forgot to flash to stock. Oh well!

Nah, I lucked out. The tech is supposed to run a test plan if that message comes up to determine if the car is actually tuned, but he's my boy and he didn't run it.
The message said: The fault code "S 0777: Suspicion of engine tuning" was detected. |

I hate that BMW is making it so hard. I moved from Audi for this reason. But looks like BMW is becoming worse. If so, I guess I'll go back to Audi once this lease is up
