Very interesting. So it has a max boost of +2.6 PSI is that it?

No, you can go up to +4 psi lol. I don't think it would be too healthy for your motor. Honestly, 2.6 to 3lbs is more than enough to add 70ftlbs of trq. It transforms the car.

You can add more but its recommended you keep it at +3 for stock applications

Not sure if switched is the right word. I ran a jb+ on my (328i) N20; worked great and I never had issues.; I don't think TT was even around then. I do have a TT now (been about 1.5 years, no issues so far); I like it a lot - it plugs into 2 sensors, has bluetooth and costs less. It is a no brainer choice IMO.
