Voice assist doesn't listen to passenger

So I know the passenger has a mic for the car, however the voice assist just doesn't listen to the passenger, is it just me or?

Voice assist as in? Hey BMW? In my car, it works even if my wife (in the front passenger seat) says "Hey BMW". Not sure about rear passengers.

Yeah that's my problem, doesn't listen at all to my wife, a note I should take, hey bmw doesn't work, if I call hey bmw and she performs the command, still doesn't work...

It sounds like it may not pick up your wife's voice, whether it be the volume/frequency of her voice or a fault with the microphone not picking up her voice.

Have you tried with another person who has a similar pitch voice to your wife?

Are you sure there's a passenger mic?

There's a plate for it, but I think it's only populated if you have enhanced bluetooth, which is packaged with wireless charging in the US.

So many nice things packaged with that that they don't advertise.. very annoying.

Not sure if it has a passenger side mic or not. But when my wife is in the passenger seat, she speaks loudly to activate Hey BMW. That probably helps?

Even loud as hell doesn't pick anything, and I have wireless charging and the cockpit and whatever, so no idea..

Works fine for passenger in my car. If the passenger says Hey BMW by bum is cold, she turns the seat heating on only on passenger side.
I think there might be a setting to enable or disable passenger.....
