Lease turn it costs
3 years ago, someone had posted a set of lease turn in charges that had the BMW standard charges listed. Example, as I recall a windshield was $600, tires were $xxx, etc.
On my last lease turn in 3 years ago, that list of standard costs proved very helpful. I am unable to find it anywhere now. Can anyone help? Thanks |

I have not seen a list like that. Best to take advantage of a pre-turn in inspection. They will list anything that needs to be corrected and then you have an opportunity to get it fixed or let them handle it.

I did finally find a BMW Financial lease end inspection report, but it was from 2007. Don't think that will help much. I have until early April, but tring to do my homework now.
You are right, I need to do the pre inspection to put it to bed. The only issue I am looking at is windshield ding about 3/8" in diameter, on the passenger side, at about the level of the windshield wiper. that I had repaired successfully. The last time I dealt with a windshield ding turning in a lease (3 years agao), they charged me $600 which was cheaper than putting in a new windshield. I didn't want to mess with putting in a new windshield at the time, only to get dinged for it being unacceptable. (plus my insurance is $500 deductable and will not do oem windshields) My searches on this subject now show on BMW's lease return page if you have a "pit", you need to replace the windshield. In the past if it wasnt in the drivers vision area, and was less than 1/2" in diameter, you could have up to 2 different "pits". I really don't have any clear guidance on this, so I was just planning on worse case scenario. I do have another car on order (M340X drive) with this same dealer (my 12th BMW with same dealer), so maybe they will cut me some slack, but am not expecting it. The sales manager in the past does the inspecting, and the dealer now has a new young sales manager, who resisted giving me the deal I wanted for the new car I ordered. I eventually got my deal, but only because of the general sales manager of the dealer intervened , whom I've done business with for over 17 years. I was very close to heading for another dealer, but it worked out. So, maybe I'll get lucky. Last edited by twssas; 02-11-2021 at 04:59 AM.. |

As far as the inspection goes, windshield chips are fine, it's when they "star" is when you get charged if they are in the path of the windshield wipers. This is for the safety of the next owner, and because dealerships can't afford to put in $1000+ windshields into every other CPO car. With that being said, after buying 12 cars from the same location, I think you should get a significantly longer leash. |

I believe this is what you are looking for. This is from my lease return 12/2020 on a F30 340i (personal info removed). Hope it helps.
