The android app just got an update with new coding. Not sure what it comprises though.

Through Testflight I tested the Beta using a G22 platform and selecting the G20/G21 coding options. The ambient lighting worked as expected. I went through and reverted all colors to be sure. I sent this report to BC so hopefully they add this to the next version.

Anyone actually try it? I got the update and ran to the car to do it yesterday, but when changing the color. The top option for the contour changes all of the lighting, except for the map lights in the dome. The second option, which references the bottom half, only changes the lights in the map light. I wanted to go with a cyan blue and red bottom, but not working.

I saw this in my Android app yesterday when re coding all my options after the latest software update.

I ended up still coding my Blue / Red combinations using expert mode as I had done before.

Not quite sure what was meant by "top" and "bottom" colour options in the app as I have Red maplights, door handles and footwells with Blue dash and door strips?

I am a Beta tester for Android version of Bimmercode; got an update yesterday (v3.7.0-7367).

This update does provide the ability to change ambient color for the first color on iDrive Menu (Bronze) for both upper (the LED strips on dash & doors) and lower (in footwells).

Having said that, however, even though I tried different colors for the two, the color I selected for the upper also showed on the lower. I've sent Stephan a report on that

I was about to ask if anyone else had seen that issue. I also get the same colour on the bottom as the top ambient colour so I assume it’s a bug.

I’ll revert back to expert mode for now.
