I agree. The C looks like a smaller E now. And that touchscreen. I do not know how people use one, especially while driving. Thank God BMW still gives me buttons. I drove the new B9.5 A4 and the touchscreen was a pain to use on the move.
And if they haven't improved the quality.....the old C class was a rattlesnake.

Both look great in my opinion. The Merc's styling is cleaner, the Bimmer is a bit fussy in parts but overall it's nice and aggressive. What bothers me most about the 3-series is how damn huge it is. The C-class still has that compact executive sedan look to it.
The Bimmer's interior design is way better in my opinion. Perfect balance between driver-centric and tech integration. The Merc's screen/dash design is just silly. Unfortunately it will have more of a "wow" factor to the average consumer. I can already see the hard scratchy plastic on the lower doors and rear air vent console of the Merc.

I think it looks better than the G20 at least with these side by side pics presented. Even the interior is not as bad as I had previously thought. Regardless, this car won't be on my radar.

Looks like current G20 owners have some good comments on the W206 C Class. So question is anyone switching over to the new 2022 W206 C300 Class? Leases on the 2019 G20 330i will end soon or the later half of this year.
Or will people consider be waiting for the true AMG W206 C Class lineup? |

As far as I know MB sucks when it comes to leases. I have a feeling BMW offers much better deals so it's hard to imagine anyone making that switch unless they really like that new C series for some reason. Besides all the talk about "styling" of the C series, has anyone talked about the actual performance of it yet? I doubt it will be in the same class as the G20 3 series.
I mean if we are only going by looks, shouldn't Alfa be another consideration? |

But isn't the C class better in performance or handling because it offers 2.5 degrees of rear wheel steering where BMW G20 does not have?
Not sure if C300 AMG line has also the LSD.. |

Quick off-topic branching off from the 3er's sharper design: Peugeot is now designing some really mean front fascias which definitely have some of that BMW of yesteryear feline look (unfortunately Stellantis just confirmed they won't be reintroducing Peugeot to the US after all and will be pushing Alfa Romeo instead):
Versus the sneering wide-eyed 1er: Many current BMWs would benefit from similarly slimmed down headlights for a sharper and more focused look in line both with modern trends and the brand's design heritage. Last edited by advantage20; 03-09-2021 at 02:45 PM.. |

We don't even have an option of buying Peugeot nor any French brand here in the states AFAIK. I remember seeing some pretty cool models when I was in Paris but I cannot remember which ones. I saw some pics of the RCZ and thought Audi TT for obvious reasons. That was a blatant copy, no?

It is simply the merger of FCA which had all the US brands (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram) plus Fiat and Alfa Romeo. PSA was Peugeot and other European brands. They just merged into one company....Stellantis. So, they could conceiveably bring slightly cosmetically modified versions of Peugeots to the US into the Chrysler showroom. Lots of precendent for this, as recently as Buick bringing in the Opel Insignia as the Buick Regal before it was dropped.
https://www.autoblog.com/2016/12/07/...opel-insignia/ Imagine the same concept to create a Chrysler model from the praised Peugeots in the posts above. Thoughts?

So far it seems the Stellantis US brand structure looks like this: Maserati - Flagship Luxury Sports Brand Alfa Romeo - Premium Luxury Sports Brand Jeep - Premium Rugged SUV Brand (Some Models Verging into Luxury) Chrysler - Premium Mainstream Brand Dodge - Mainstream Brand and Sports Division
