Probably because the 3&4 share a lot of stuff? Basically just different bodies with the same engines/software/coding?

Totally agree the 3 series outsold the 4 series any day. I just find that when I'm trying to find out stuff about the 4 series, many 3 series stuff pops up, and stuff which isn't activated on the 3 series are already and available option on the 4 series (correct me if I'm wrong).
Being new to the 4 series, I do get confused when reading so much about the 3 series, specially in terms of coding. I mean if the forum admin decided to have an image of the G22, then make it a G22+ page. Just saying..  Quote:

I think that they should stay combined. At the end if the day, the 4 series is just a coupé 3 series.

BMW is trying to separate the 4 to be its own series. At least this is the current trend. Also the Z4 being a even lower sale volume model has its own forum and not shared with Supra... Just saying.. ����
