These M performance accessories are on another list and can be added during car purchases, or be added anytime later after talking delivery. Essentially they are BMW official "aftermarket mods".

My understanding is that the East Coast has more ships and the West Coast.

I found this article very useful. It provides very detailed information.

Yes. East coast does have more ships. But there are reports citing cars sitting at the port waiting for a ship for more 2-3 weeks and in some cases more. So mid July is a more realistic delivery looks like.

I placed at order in mid Feb.
Got vin same date as you are or a day or two later. I'm still in production queue but I hope I move up next week since your status already in assembly

Are you missing any equipment?

Once the production is complete, you should be able to do a VIN decoder and figure out.

Are you getting anxious?

I started cross shopping a few PPF shops now that it's looking like a summer delivery will happen

For sure. I will ceramic coat my vehicle myself using Adams Graphene Ceramic. Looks pretty straightforward. Shops here charge $2200-2500 for the same ceramic coat.

Great! Mine is still at the port. Maybe they will bunch everything up for transport. Looks like a mid July delivery now.

If you call the genius, they will tell you when you are scheduled to depart and what ship. I called in this morning, they said call back when it is at the port so they can provide the details. Let us know what they say. In some forums, I see people waiting for 2-3 weeks.

Wanted to add to this discussion. My '22 430ix has been at the port in Bremerhaven for a week as of today (15 Jun). I spoke with a Genius yesterday, and he said it can take up to 2 weeks after reaching the port for the car to be put on a ship headed to the port in NY (technically NJ). It'll be another ~2 weeks to get across the Atlantic...

His suggestion to me was to call back at the 2 week mark, and hopefully by then there will be a carrier assignment. Fingers crossed...

Is that a priority 1 vehicle? Usually priority 1 moves quickly.

TBH, I have no clue. Rough timeline of events for my order:

4/15: Placed an order with my BMW dealership in Tenafly, NJ
5/19: Production started
6/6: Final assembly
6/7: Dispatched from factory
6/8: Reached Bremerhaven

Now, I'm manically checking Track My BMW multiple times a day. If anyone knows how to find out whether a vehicle was "priority 1", LMK. Perhaps call my sales person?

Hope this helps...

It should say on your VIR slip from the dealer

I changed from mineral grey/grey wheels/blue calipers to portimao blue/black wheels/red calipers a day before it flipped into status 150 lmao, the waiting definitely makes you change and add stuff
That's funny because I originally just had the MSport suspension on my build and then I changed it to add the dynamic handling package. I didn't like the way the car looked with the smaller brake discs and smaller calipers…almost ruined the look of the wheels. Right after the change went through it almost immediately went into status 150. I think they do this to prevent more changes.

Would you look at that. Took a look at the VIR slip (for the first time), and yes, it's a Priority 1. I don't know if that only affects how quickly it's built, but really, really hoping that it means it finds a spot on a ship sooner rather than later...

Thanks for the pointer.

They usually prioritize them for loading onto the ship and going through customs etc. I am also a priority 1.

I called genius when I originally made it to "at the port" stage. I was told they would not know the ship assigned or schedule until it was at the "in transit" stage. I have been in "at the port" since May 30th with no updates since.

I called them 2 days back and they advised to call them back after a week or so. The car is still at the port.
