I had to stare at the stacked tips for like 30 seconds before it hit me that they make a stylized number "8" lol

Quite right. In addition, I suspect one of the major reasons for launching XM is the desire by BMW AG to maximize profitability during the next few years before ICE powertrains are subjected to cylinder reduction and eventual retirement.

RR uses their own platforms now. Highly doubt BMW is using RR platforms either.

I want 7-Series rear legroom in an SUV, along with enough space for luggage and cargo behind the rear seats. Am I asking too much? The Aston DBX seems to be the closest to what I'm after.

But Rolls are planning to go smaller with another high-sided vehicle. XM and iX are to put it one way "bookends" for Both BMW M and BMWi respectively. But to better understand XM it in its individuality and it's purpose? Think Range Rover Velar but for a higher class and a performance segment.

Not sure why BMW keeps screwing around with some of their iconic styling cues. I guess the plan is to make it look less like a BMW. |

It's always cute seeing some dude in his FWD 2er try to stunt. The fact somebody even considered that car tells me all I need to know about how much of a car (ahem badge*) "enthusiast" they are.
