Best State to visit in New England for Christmas?
Watching too many Christmas movies and thinking of spending time in Vermont or somewhere. Want to cosy up with a log fire in the room. Has to be festive like Christmas threw up over the place but the people must be nice!

I grew up in Rhode Island and honestly New England is much better in the summer and fall / change of season time than in the winter. If you really want to go in the winter, then Vermont is a nice choice but there isn't a ton to do. You can ski there but there are better ski destinations elsewhere in the country. More of a weekend than a week trip IMO. We stayed at a nice bed and breakfast there years ago. I'll see if I can find the name of it.

Good thing I didn't burn it down like I almost did when I accidentally closed the fireplace flue instead of opening it when lighting the fireplace in our room. That was a lot of smoke real quick. Enjoy it, wherever you end up going.
