Are the maintenance/service plans still included?

Anyone know if the maintenance/service plans are still included on these 2019 and newer? I know the service plans had changed a few years ago, where brakes werent covered any longer unless you paid to upgrade and then BMW made another change that even if you bought a used BMW that was still under the original service plan, that wouldnt automatically transfer unless you paid a fee and the fee was sizeable.

All of that the same for the new car or changes since they launched this one?

Yup, new cars come with the service plan that doesn't include brakes unless you add that for a fee. I think they shortened it too. Now it's 36 months or 36k miles.

2019 3/36 scheduled maintenance is transferable to new owner. Yes, it covers less, excluded items include brakes, wiper inserts, clutches and a couple other things.

You can upgrade the 3/36 maintenance to full maintenance (includes everything old pre 2017 plan included) at time of purchase. You can also extend the plan longer. Also, if you purchase the full upgrade at time of sale, you can extend longer through your SA anytime before the 3/36 expires.

I hope this helps to clarify.

It is worth getting if you are used to having it. We always had the service plans on all of our cars, bought my wife a 2016 Msport CPO and it wasnt included and we didnt pay for it. Sorry we didnt but we can add it now and will.

You could fill a dozen volumes with what the average salesperson doesn't know.

Ha, so true. I ordered my M340i xdrive in February from a dealer who had no idea they could be ordered when I first spoke to him. And this is one of the largest BMW dealerships in NY State, and when he checked he found he had allocations. Most dealers/CAs are not really personally interested in the product they are selling, so they don't follow enthusiast forums such as this. Hence, most people who are members of this forum will walk into a dealership knowing more about the product than the dealer they are buying from. Frightening, really!
