I think it will come with piston breaks.

The CS is nice but will not be better then the new G80 CP

Slipping??
It's a boxing/MMA/Martial Arts defensive thing... basically a head fake.

My meaning was they give us something to see, "candy" and then weave the other direction. Basically they make us think it's exclusive but then in reality it's just a head fake to sell us more expensive cars.
THIS has been BMW common place for quite sometime, crafty folks.

Something is off with that exhaust... Its almost pointed downward with the tips a good 3-5'' away from the bottom of the bumper. Surely this won't stay like this right? Wayyy too low. Other than that I can't wait to see this thing!

Guess I'll skip this one too.
The paddle shifters in M4 are exactly the same as the one in G80 M3.

I just want an M4 Coupe with CF roof with working hardware to attach a Thule rack. Or at least have a metal roof option with no moonroof.

Hopefully BMW M will get this correct this time.

The new 4er is an absolutely stunning car.
I’m sure the new 4er is stunning...in panoramic mode. It should only take a 50% neck rotation to see the whole thing.

It’s the same guy who says the new 1 series looks stunning.

Not much credibility in words regarding design.

Meh, gave up on roof racks years ago. I ran that Thule on a few BMW's but don't miss it at all. Not my car, but this is the answer:

I'm sure the G87 will be bigger, but the F87 is already a small car that if it grew an inch or two wouldn't be that significant IMO. The G87 better be lighter than the M2c. We already know it will be more powerful with the s58, that engine is a beast.

I think the rag tops look nice on the Boxster and 911 because the cars are small/relatively small. Always thought they looked a bit strange on larger cars - hard to tell how it will really look with all this camo, but I wonder because the G83 will be even bigger than the F83.
I saw it on the 8-series. It's way better than the 6-series.
This one looks v clean.

Skip because of paddle shifters?

You know you can replace them???

All mine cars where MT and when I bought the F90 M5 I instantly removed those short paddle shifters.

This should be the least concern by buying a car!

I don't like the ZF transmission is what I mean. Nowhere as responsive as DCT on manual shifts.

Also lowers rev limiter to 7200 rpm because of inherent oil cavitation at high revolutions. (Note that F8x M3/4 revs to 7600 despite being turbocharged) The ZF transmission is a hindrance in many ways.

I didn't mind the ZF it's one of the beat transmission on the market.
If you want the revs get the naturally aspirated engine like E90/92 with tune I was raving mine up to 9K

I am getting the G80 M3 in MT because MT is

Do you mean fixed callipers like on the F80? If so, I really hope it has them as well but I'm not hopeful looking at all the other newer M cars with single floating callipers on the rear.
Apart from the obvious cost saving (Boo!!), I've always thought, isn't this surely a move backwards in terms of performance!?!

The ZF is nowhere near "one of the best" transmissions anywhere. It's cheap and automakers use it because it's cheap. As a transmission it's pretty terrible. Doesn't feel that different to traditional torque converted automatics.

Most BMW customers literally do not care about transmissions these days. The days of BMW customers being motoring enthusiasts are pretty much over. Less than 0.5% of their customer base even realizes the differences. Pretty sad decline of the enthusiast...

Again just so big. I would think this was an M6 or M8. At this point for my weekend car I need a coupe that is less than 180 in length. So M2 variants and eventually a 911 for me. I don't like the torque on a Cayman, as I need a more muscle car like M2 CS or 911. G87 M2 should be good but so far away with December 2022 production and on the road in early 2023.

The new M3 and M4 will share a drivetrain just as they do today.

Although it is not 100% confirmed that AWD is coming, all the evidence suggests that it is. Whether or not there will also be RWD models remains unknown.
