Looks like the G80 won't debut in 2019...

The quote from Markus Flasch, the BMW official who was interviewed for the article, is:

Quote:
"We've got enough models coming up this year for M"
And he's absolutely right - with all those models already known to be getting officially revealed/announced or in some cases, going on sale this year, it is unlikely for the M3 to also be in the mix.

However, this does not preclude the possibility of a "Concept M3" for Frankfurt.

I stopped reading when he started calling M3 G20.

BMWUSA took out M3 from the configurator. Does it means the new model will be online in next few months?

No idea if it indicates anything. The M3 has been gone from configurators in Europe for quite a while now.

I would not doubt it, that’s the same area I saw the last generation m3/4 test mules. But it seems to be a little early to be seeing them in the city, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them testing in the California desert already.

It means BMWUSA has removed sales support and there isn't enough dealer inventory left for them to keep advertising it on their website.

M3 (F80) production was ended in October 2018.

They are around. I've seen mules from Port Hueneme.

Are we still expecting some sort of unveiling at Frankfurt in a few months or has further information indicated those links in post 1 are unlikely? I've booked my tickets so hoping to see something!

I don't think there'll be an unveiling of the new M3 in Frankfurt this year. But you never know.

Good back up plan is Herbstfest in Rosenheim then Oktoberfest of course in Munich.

Viel Spaß!

The rumors of an M3 appearance at Frankfurt proved to be off the mark. BMW did present a 4 Series Coupe Concept which has received full coverage here at BimmerPost.
