I received the emails below from BMW Genius and BMW assist customer service. This actually did work and connectivity is now fully functional.

Hope this helps others. At some point I'll take it in to get the latest update as well.

Thx for this. My app was working with everything except for sending destination to the NAV. this fixed it.

Does this keep your iDrive settings in place? This is not a reset correct?

Does this keep your iDrive settings in place? This is not a reset correct?
I haven't noticed anything get "reset". Not totally sure which idrive settings would get reset though. All programmed buttons remain the same.

No it just doesn't show anything updated. Says 'Last Update' and shows old information.

I can't even use the app to locate my car... it's pretty useless. The Mercedes Me app for my wife's car works flawlessly... you can even use it to start the car remotely.

My remote start via the app was down once but that was probably because of low battery on my phone (atleast, that’s what the app said). But connecteddrive has always worked perfectly for me. Showing me exactly where my car is and remote start always worked except for that one day.

That's funny, that's the exact opposite of the experience I've had. The Mercedes app worked no more than 1 out of 20 times I tried using it to remote start my 2017 C300. Was totally useless for me.

Averaged out over the 3 months I've had my 330i so far, the CD app has been about 75% successful. (For the first 2 months it was almost 100% success, but the last month has been fail after fail.)

Well known for sure. Many of the forum members have called in and submitted tickets as well to BMW Assist. Dealer won't be able to do much, all you can try is getting a software update to see if it helps (which I'm not willing to do since I don't want something else to break with the update).

BMW Assist just told me they are 'working' on a resolution and the problem is known.

No timeline on resolution unfortunately.

Yea, and it's been ongoing since March 2019, or almost a full year.
