Talking My G80 Rendering

Hello everyone, with the recent rumors of the G80 M3 featuring new taller and bigger grille (from the all new 4er apparently), I was motivated to make this render:

What do you guys think? Probably not everyone's taste but I tried to keep it close to the spied shots (headlights, major lines etc...) and referenced to some recent concepts and vision vehicles (iNext, i Vision Dynamics ...) for the grille.

Gosh, glad I bought the F80, that's hideous and there is nothing special about that front fascia at all. Totally non-aggressive. Hopefully it will look something like the rendering from Evolve Auto...

If that's what it ends up looking like it's gonna be the ugliest M3 ever made, and the F8x is going to be in ridiculously high demand.

Well not really if you need space for 4 people, the Panamera is too big.

The Grille is larger, deeper and has the plate holder in the middle.

I like the M340i grills, I like the X7 and X5 grills, but the 7 series and these new M3/4 grills are seriously disappointing and ridiculous, I know there's still camo all over the car, but I can already tell that this is gonna be bad, just by the fact that the grills are so big and tall that the front plates overlap them, just

I will be shocked if the front end of this car looks good, luckily I'm going for the M340i anyways.

Sounds like an Audi or Lexus predator grill with a split down the middle now.

Impressive rendering skills. I have to agree with the majority though, nothing about this to me says ///M. It doesn't even look like a BMW anymore..

You should be scared.
It's better resolved when you see it in person. I have seen it on the 4er. But not yet on the M3. It works on the 4er.

As long it stays wide and it's not growing in hight I am ok with that. I do like that they keep the divider in between the grill.

Your grill rendering looks a bit familiar...

Sorry, but I had to.

"It works ..." wow i can sense Scott's enthusiasm ha. I was hoping more for descriptions like "you'll love it" "it looks awesome" "great sharp, aggressive, clean lines" ... etc etc etc.

The phrase "It works" scares me but maybe ur just setting the bar low to avoid total disappointment.

This is how I felt as well. When Scott says "it works" or "it's better resolved when you see it in person", then I'm afraid that this is not the best sign.

I'll reserve judgement for when it's revealed and thanks OP for the effort. Renders are tricky and never too close to reality thankfully.

Starting to worry somewhat about the grills, is the plate really going in the middle?! OK for me in the IK I guess but those that have no front plate, hmmm.

I also see quite a few Kia references each time a new grill is discussed but some of the current design (M2C) makes me think of Skoda a little.

Thanks for the kind feedback, the point of rendering is to be judged and discussed anyways lol. Just this one got quite a lot of hate apparently. Hopefully I did lower your expectation for the upcoming reveal..

Could you reveal further information on other details? Do the kidneys stick together? What about the headlights?
Might try again with the next render work when a less-camo M3 is spotted in the wild.
