Yep Sabine Schmit has done 10,000-15,000 laps around the ring, she could probably drive it blindfolded, she also famously drove a 10M 7 seconds lap in a van (Ford Transit) and almost beat Jeremy Clarkson's time except he was in an Aston Martin or a Jag if I am not mistaken

I did the ring taxi last year with Sabine - amazing experience and well worth the cost of admission. I had room for an additional passenger (only 2 folks actually went to the ring after a big night in Frankfurt) so we were able to sell the 3rd open spot to someone there for 80 euro and recoup a good portion of the upfront.
Its not an easy process to lock down - They require Euro wire transfers from the U.S. and securing a spot can be difficult given tickets seem to sell out quickly. Also, they are released in the middle of the night EST but the ringtaxi administrators are great and typically willing to help out a yank or two. Lastly, the available dates for rides became an issue since we had a strict schedule and were unsure until only a few weeks before arrival when we'd be able to get our ride (sporadic dates released only a few weeks before the actual visit). |

There's also an Aston Martin Ringtaxi available (a green motorsport version of the V8 Vantage), or at least it was when I was at the Ring in August. One ride = 299 EUR if I remember correctly.
That's me and E92Fan (giving me good advice as he's a pro) about two months back, having a great time: Alpina_B3_Lux

I can tell you, it is a blast! but I prefer to drive myself
The M5 Ringtaxi is fast, especially taken into account it is completely original, no mods, no semislicks. The drift they (especially Sabine) make are impressive as well! Looks strange an M5 going sideways in front of you, squealing and smoking http://www.clipfish.de/video/2426897...denauer-forst/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSqzRGpD4qA search "ringtaxi sabine" and you will find a lot of nice videos there is a risk though |
