I have a January allocation, & they said it will be 2024, not 2025,
someone clarify how that is possible based on geko29 ...also have a build week.

G82/G83 will be updated with LCI in March and G80 in July. What are you ordering and when is your build week?

Interesting. I tend not to pay attention to M4's and was not aware.

Correct. January build weeks would largely be made up of November allocations, plus some earlier allocations that had delays due to things like Individual paint.

But for the folks that just received their allocations last week and have either already ordered or are going through that process now, those that are getting M4s should be 2025s, while M3s will continue to be 2024s until that switchover in July, which will mostly start with allocations in May.

Sounds like this was an unsold allocation that the dealer had had for a while (likely since November) and hadn't locked yet. You were able to modify it to get your order in and in production less than a month later.

If you search, you may still find a dealer with an allocation in 112 that you could change to your specs.

Now if price of the car goes up, & its relatively the same thing then I feel 2024 would be the better buy....especially everyone disliking the new headlights....

You can’t. The LCI hasn’t even been officially announced. You could submit a general build to your CA and wait till it’s official before formalizing, but that’s about it.

Hi everyone! Talked earlier to my dealership in Italy. No infos yet, the guy told me he will most likely have some more insights next week. Kinda strange to have basically no information ehatsoever, given that production is supposed to start in March. I am wondering if it is still possible to order the car today, and what would be the available options (just thinking about the laser lights that are rumored not to be available anymore).

Let’s wait and see

Dealers have the new prices, colors etc for MY2025 even though they aren't on the website. I've been #3 on the M4 list in Sterling, VA since Oct 2023. No movement yet. Based on the above information, it'll be a 2025. I doubt the website will have 2025 configurator up and running before August-September. But I always thought the LCI will be a mid-year change for MY2024. I may be wrong.
Also, the same Sterling, VA dealership said 18 months to wait for an M3 allocation. Matches what everybody else is saying. Rockville, MD said they could get one "immediately", but I think they just want me to put a deposit in and then it's the same 18 month. No idea.
