F46 is the one I've replaced, I actually found F273 thinking it was the one I blew. F273 is located in the trunk on the right side. There is a paper located in the trunk fuse box like the image to guide you. Let me know if you found it.

Which fuse or icon is it for the exhaust valve?

In my search for a fuse box diagram, I came across this post and it helped me out installing my dashcam.

It's only fair I also post the fusebox specific to my car, downloaded via the link in the first post. This is for a 320e. I got my 320e last summer (August 2021), but I think it is still model 2020, not sure on how the years work exactly.

Anyways, the dealer told me to preferably not touch the fuses in the passanger footwell (FB right), so I originally used F252 for the BATT connection, and F214 for the power connection.
It seems F252 is not suitable for the BATT connection as it is also switched and turns off a couple of minutes after closing the car. Weirdly enough though, it stays powered when the trunk is still open and everything gets switched off.

I've now connected the BATT cable on F258. If this one doesn't work, I'll try to figure out a connection in the back that does work permanently.

Do you know which of the fuses in the trunk are ACC/Ignition only? I need to find one which is 15A or higher for the iVolt battery.

I think F251 or F273 might be a candidate. That should be the cigarette lighter/12V connector as far as I know.

But as I'm not a car/electronics expert, I don't know what connecting something additional to that line might cause in terms of issues. I do know from RC experience that batteries is not somthing to mess with.

I'd rather have you go to an official dealer asking them for advice, maybe even let them connect it for you.

On a side note (why I don't mess with batteries):

Read up on LiPo and LiFePo batteries and fire hazards also please.
I personally wil never ever let my RC LiPo batteries charge unattented or store them outside the battery vault. I've had one LiPo battery swell/pop and had to make it safe by purposely igniting it, putting a stake through it. These are fires you can't extinguish.
This is also the reason I chose to hardwire my dashcam.

I even refuse to put my car inside my garage because of it being a hybrid one. I'd rather have a roof then a car...

Not sure what you've been reading but lifepo4 are the safest ones around and they don't actually catch fire, lithium ion does.

This will show you they can't, other can though

2019 BMW X3 Front socket fuse replacement

Front outlet socket fuse for 2019 BMW X3 found under passenger foot panel, fuse F46. Unlock two plastic twist locks on each side of upper panel to drop down. Fuse block on upper right side wall. F46 fuse is on left. Bit of a contortion required to get to, but it is fairly straight forward. Use a fuse puller, remove and replace with standard 20 amp blade fuse. Reinstall cover and should be good to go.

No need to go to dealer as BMW suggests. Ever try to get an appt in last year? Not sure why it is as challenging as designed.

This thread is really useful….however, just a heads up….the download I got for my 840 from BMW using my VIN is highly inaccurate so I would tread warily when referring to the download for ‘your’ car…..

I pulled out F203, which is a 7.5A Fuse.... this kept my exhaust valve open all the time.
