Remote Software Upgrade Trigger?
Hi,
Is there anyway I can make my car trigger a remote software upgrade? My car is still on 11/2019.70. I know the newest firmware is 07/2020.60. I've been trying for months checking the BMW Connected app daily as well as manually checking for an update in my car but no luck. It just says up to date or no software available. These OTA updates are so tricky. How can I get my car to update? I would love the new CarPlay in HUD feature as well as the update resetting all my coding from BimmerCode so I can start again from scratch. Thanks! |

I’ve had my dealer do an update to 03/2020.69 earlier this year and today updated (OTA) to 07/2020.54

low battery only prevents update if the update is already downloaded.
Bmw pushes updates only to a limited portion of vehicles. mine is also still at 11/19.70... sometime in the future we will get 07.20.54 (may 60) also the newest versions are 11.20.XX. but u can only get these from your dealer (for now) u can go to your dealer and say u have problems with apple car play disconnect etc. maybe he will update for free |
