HUD - Wrong Lane Issue

Not sure if anyone has noticed this, but after the 07/2020 update, on the motorway when I need to exit, the HUD tells me to go to the right most lane (i.e. the furthest away from the exit in the UK!). It may be a regional bug, as for LHD cars this would make sense.

Hope its fixed in the next update.

You mean you don’t always cut across all lanes of traffic when leaving the motorway? Clearly not a true BMW enthusiast!

I understand it is deliberately written into the UK maps software and gives a 10 metre warning of the junction

Same here and also in the UK. It's not on every occasion but I've definitely seen it happen on a few times when approaching an exit.

Tried it this morning to see and it positioned correctly on both motorway exits I used, might be area/junction specific?

Surely it's road (and country) rather than car specific? A LHD car would still exit to the left.

Garage List
Sounds like a map issue rather than a lhd/rhd issue?

Yes I tried in other junctions/motorways and it seemed to be working fine, so it seems like a map data issue on specific roads. Hopefully gets fixed in the next map update, at least they seem to be more frequent than iDrive updates!

I meant LHD markets, where you would exit on the right :-)

I hate to go all Health and Safety but that seems a serious issue particularly for someone from say a LHD country unfamiliar with the roads.
