All out white M440i

Does anyone have a M440i on order or are in possision of an M440i in white (mineral or alpine) with oyster seats? I would like to see what it looks like not on the configurator because the slight color difference also what everyone thinks with that combo. Also if you can find it or ordered it with the shadowline package that would be amazing! Thanks

You might check some dealer websites for inventory photos. I know a couple dealers in my area have a white with oyster. Not enough contrast for me though.

+1. I’d personally go with cognac for a more classic look.

Alpine on Oyster works well due to all the black accents. Buddy had it on his M235i and it looked amazing

Complementary Colors are any two Hues positioned exactly opposite each other on the Basic Color Wheel. To be sure, knowing where they lie on a Color Wheel is basic. But even more important, is understanding what this means in a practical sense.

When Complementary Colors are blended together, they neutralize each other; they interact differently when placed side by side. As mentioned in the last paragraph, they are the two colors with the highest contrast. As a result they actually intensify each other when sitting next to each other. In Color Theory this phenomenon is called Simultaneous Contrast.

Photographers and artists often take advantage of this fact to create intense drama. Maybe that's one of the reasons we are always so attracted to sunsets. The contrast of Orange and Blue vibrate to capture our attention.

A couple useful tools to play with:

Given the above I was already fairly set on Tanzanite / Cognac, but waffling between Cognac / Oyster interior. I was about 90% leaning towards Cognac and then saw this post of an M440 TB / Cognac and that solidified the last 10% for me.

I might have gone with Tartufo if it had been an option for the M440, and the Kylami + Black w/ TBII M4 looks fantastic, but either way that's why I think Cognac goes really well with the Tanzanite.

That being said I know it's not for everyone and I don't think anyone can deny the clean look of white on white w/ black (or carbon fiber) trim / accents.
