I said that the 320d from 2015 had dual exhaust pipes, I didn't specify whether they came out of the same or different sides, principally because I really don't care.

The E21 323i had twin exhausts, one each side. The E30 323i had two next to each other, on the side. However the X2 18d and 220i F45 Active Tourer have one on each side.

There really is no rule, despite people desperately scratching around for one
There's obviously mostly a bunch of noob BMW owners here. My old 1978 323i had exhausts out each side (and was much slower than the 320d will be here)!

You've always been able to buy tarted up base models with m-tech parts since the 1980s. This is nothing new - comes down mostly to road taxes, and cost in each market.

At least in Europe this car will come in a proper 3 pedal manual. For the daily grind it won't actually be that far behind the 340i.

BMW Individual shows it as an option, but it still has to be offered in the USA.

they are trying to hard...but the car market is so competitive now...

i think both the e90m3 and f80m3 look equally as nice and both are timeless designs. This new G looks like an RC car for someone reason.

I know this is typical rinse and repeat of any new generation; but damn; doesnt anyone want a clean design anymore. This gen only strikes me because the taillights are tinted or dark; so that immediately makes any car looks nicer

Does anybody know if there is a difference in shape of the carbon vs black diffuser? Want to replace my grey stock 330i into the gloss black one with the black diffuser, but on some pictures it looks like the black vs carbon are not the same shape ...

Yes they are slightly different. The Carbon piece has much more pronounced styling, the black while still aggressive, is a bit more subdued.
