For me, I was in RFT on 1/29 and took delivery on 3/1. It sat at the port in Ca for 10 days which was longer than normal due to my dealer being backed up. A lot of it depends on when you can catch a ship from Mexico. From what I can see, it’s only the NYK company that handles this for BMW. Their current schedule shows a ship (Mercury Leader) coming in tomorrow to Lazaro Cardenas and would arrive at Port Hueneme on 3/13. If you can catch that ship, and if your dealer can arrange things you should be able to get it a week or two after it arrives in port here. Currently the next ship after the Mercury isn’t until 3/28. So, I hope you can catch the Mercury! There could also be other currently unscheduled ships that could pick up in between those dates too. The ship that mine was on, wasn’t originally scheduled but suddenly appeared one week. It wasn’t one of NYK’s normally scheduled vessels, wasn’t on a regular route either and never even showed up on the Port Hueneme’s schedule arrivals. NYK update’s there published schedule once a week. Here’s the link to their current schedule: https://www.nykroro.com/wp-content/u....pdf#view=FitH Here’s a link to all of their shipping routes and schedules: https://www.nykroro.com/customer/schedules/ The one for BMW to the West Coast is the Mexico-USWC Asia (RTW) one. |

[QUOTE=simpact;30761772]Just placed my order for a 330i on 12/20 and got a Week 3 slot.
Black Sapphire Metallic Black Leather Seats 19” M Double-spoke bi color jet black wheels, style 791M Performance RFT (I will immediately swap these with Michelin PS4S set) Driving Assistance Package Shadowline Package Parking Assistance Package Premium Package M Sport Package Pro/ Red Calipers Adaptive M Suspension Harmon Kardon SensaTec Dash Power Tailgate Pickup at dealer in SoCal Final Timeline: Order Placed – 12/20 Order Received – 12/20 Scheduled for Production as of 12/20 Build Week 3 - Per BMW Dealer Production Begins - 1/11 Exterior Body Assembly - ? In Paint Booth - ? Entering Assembly Line - 1/25 Assembly in Progress - ? Quality Check - ? Final Assembly - 1/26 Ready for Transport 1/29 Awaiting Carrier Assignment - ? Dispatched From Factory - ? At The Port (Mexico) - ? In Transit - 2/12, loaded on vessel Dione Leader (Note: this took until 2/15 to update to In Transit on web tracker and I got the 2/12 date from BMW Genius) At the Port (arrival) - 2/17 At The Dealership - 3/1 Vehicle Delivered - 3/1 Stages with question marks mean update in online tracker skipped the update or it moved through the stage faster than I was monitoring for (which was way too frequent ) Car sat at Port Hueneme for 10 days waiting on dealer to be ready to accept it due to backlog. I think it was at dealership on 2/29 but status didn’t update until 3/1. Got lucky to get it on 3/1 as they had 25 cars arrive on same boat. |

Yes! We’ll probably be rushing there at the same time. I’m working with Lane. I would LOVE to be surprised and get it late next week.

From what I’ve seen online the hardware won’t support 8.5 so there won’t be an option in the future to upgrade to it. But, so far I like it. Still learning it though. |

Ok cool thanks, I saw a video where 8.5 had a native YouTube app, but I later figured out that’s only on the 2024 XM models. Don’t know why they don’t do more OTA software version updates for previous recent models.

For those who got their cars recently in the last few weeks. Did your status change from “in transit” to “at the port” when it arrived at the VPC? My boat arrived in Baltimore late Friday night and left Baltimore on Saturday. I just called genius and they don’t have any info that the ship arrived in Baltimore.
Is there any other way to verify that the car is at the VPC? |
