Congratulations, enjoy in good health.

A very elegant colour combo. Won't see too many of those around.

Those wheels...

What a fabulous combination!
I'm currently in the process of buying the new 330e touring in this colour.

When choosing this color im getting the notification from the individual configuration that lane assistant should be deactivated.

Did you have this too?

Regards a huge fan of your color combo
EDIT: Lane Departure Warning and Lane Change Warnings are enabled. Lane Change Assistant changes lanes automatically once you’ve set the indicator for a few seconds. Actually, I don’t know if this is indeed disabled or not. I need to investigate it in detail.

Thanks, I’m not aware my lane assistant is deactivated (I can still activate/deactivate it my car settings) nor did my dealer inform me about it. Yes, I’m aware of the configurator warning but I ignored it as my order confirmation from dealer still listed lane assistant option for my car. Please check with your local dealer just to make sure.

Take a picture of middle console - MHEV shouldn't have ASS button.

If you have it - it's not MHEV.

Interesting, BMW invoice states it’s MHEV. Also my dealer told me it will be MHEV. I need to ask them for explanation. I have ASS button and my car (still) weighs 2245 kg / 4949 lbs (2021 M340's weight has gone up by 35 kg / 70 lbs) indicating my vehicle isn't MHEV after all? However all paperwork indicates its MHEV. I'm confused....anyway, I placed my order in March so I didn't order nor was I promised MHEV version in the first place....

Well, well, after many calls...mine is not MHEV, now confirmed by BMW Finland. The order documentation was wrong for what ever reason, feedback has been sent to BMW

Apparently (in Finland) M340i MHEV will be available from November production onwards, not from July production.

At least it’s now sorted out technically and I can focus enjoying my car.

Hei The3,

Congratulations for your M340i and for the color combination, that's brilliant!

Thank you also for the details about the MHEV.
I've myself ordered a M340i late July that should be manufactured somewhere in September-October and delivered late October.
The way BMW communicates about MHEV on our vehicles is really disappointing, and I've asked the salesman today to clarify it.

Cheers!

Thank you. I kind of like the car as it is today, the color combo is very elegant and overall doesn’t need any exterior mods. Mirror caps were painted in body color at the factory (instead of being Cerium Grey). I’m considering a performance exhaust, there are a few too choose from (in EU). Engine will remain standard for the time being, no tuning planned.

Yeah, the communication about the MHEV was really disappointing. I had it on black and white, several calls and confirmations. Even on the last day I got a call by two persons confirming it’s MHEV and then after 5 mins another call ultimately concluding it’s NOT a MHEV. What a day drama...

Hei The3,

You're right, BMW could be more clear and adapt the configurator.

Got an answer from dealer this morning stating that MHEV will be made available on M340i for vehicles starting production in November 2020, meaning deliveries in February 2021.
So definitely not on my car too

Companions in misery

Enjoy the time driving your beautiful car

Can't you postpone the delivery of your car to get the MHEV?

I would think twice about this solution!

Salut WestCoast76

Unfortunately, dealer said my car is now entering production phase so no way to postpone it.
I have indeed received an automatic email proposing me to add moonroof and heated steering wheel , and that without further reply within 5 days, the car will move to next production phase.

MHEV looked like a good thing not necessarily for the couple CO2 grams/km saved, but rather for the improved start/stop handling.
Anyway, that will be for the next one (unless it will then be the time to go for full EV).

Cheers

Bonjour DrHouse76

With or without the mild-hybrid system, the car will be fantastic so no regret to have!
