Mission Performance Stage 2 Flash

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
I am selling my car and just detuned my car so I am selling my Mission Performance tune license. It is a stage 2 tune for 92 octane, factory remote start, speed limiter delete, and EEPROM backup. It originally cost me $1,099 for these options and I am selling for $400 and you will have to pay the transfer fee of $150 to Mission download the tune.

GLWS that is an exceptionally good price

I think one thing worth noting is that Mission Performance is the only company that allows unlimited resales or transfers of their tune (BM3 as an example allows for only 1 sale) - new owners just pay the transfer fee. So whoever ends up buying this will be able to use it - and then sell it to the next purchaser or transfer it to their next BMW.

Also any current owners will get the new IOS app for free once it is released

I would love to jump on this if there were some guarantee for the MY21+ models. GLWS.

I wonder since you are in CA if Alex would unlock your MY21 so you could use this tune. Might be worth asking Alex.

Thanks for all of your help over the past couple years with my questions regarding the tune.

The cool thing about Alex is that when I called him to understand how to sell my tune I mentioned that I have a X7 M50i and he said he would actually allow me to tune my X7 and use a substantial amount of what I paid for my M340 and apply it to the X7 tune. I thought that was awesome. Of course I did forget to tell him my X7 is a MY2021 so that could be an issue.

Oh you're welcome - glad I could help. You do raise a good point - transfer to another MP flash for another BMW is always an option as well - you just pay the transfer fee. I think I'm onto my 3rd or 4th transfer off the same license at this point - making my cost of ownership per vehicle even less than a simple piggyback at this point

It's a bit of a manual process still but the MP App I am beta testing has this all automated

Totally OT but if MP had a tune for my car, I'd get it in a heart beat. G20 330i (2020) in case Alex asks......

You have to leave the key card in the wireless charger area and then it works as normal. Not sure if MP figured a way around that yet but at one point they were the only ones to get the factory remote start to work with a tune.

Will this work for an early 2020 m340? Or does it still require shipment to Mission

Yes you have to unlock your DME for 2020, I have this same exact tune for MY 20. If you find a local tuner shop that can unlock your DME for you that is fine to do.
