Tune or just Cat.DP?

Recently got a m340i and it came with the 3-year warranty, I love it , it’s my daily. I have a shop by me that ships my ECU out and will custom-tune it, still run 93, I’m not mixing gas, and I can have a 500+ hp daily BUT I would more then likely lose my warranty and it’ll effect trade in value. If I don’t plan on racing or anything, should I just add a catted downpipe and call it a day? Obviously I’d like more power and a raspier exhaust note but also don’t need it. Just looking for opinions

The car has more than enough power for daily driving, imo. It always boils down to personal goals. I think a catted DP is great solely for exhaust note and spool sounds.

On my 2021 M340i I have a AA catted epa down pipe , no check engine light and a M performance exhaust, with a JB4 tune/30% ethanol.

She’s a blast to drive , Down pipe opens her up. I know you don’t want to run mix gas and that’s ok.

And if your worried about warranty I would avoid the JB4, Even though it’s a piggyback and not a physical tune where the DME is unlocked it’s still traceable.
I think you benefit super happy with a DP and exhaust.

Does the catted down pipe by itself void warranty? I want to go Downpipe route as well but don’t want to mess with warranty
