ESYS G20 coding - getting started

Hey just want to confirm that esys can still VO Code without any additional programs. I am one of the lucky few that received a car without touch screen and will be doing a retrofit soon.

Hello - newbie wanting to get into Esys coding - mainly for all the features that BimmerCode can't do and specifically most interested in coding the anti dazzle feature and variable light feature. Do not have assisted driving package so don't care about that.

I have a windows 10 laptop and a ENET cable. What version of Pro launcher, Esys and esysx do I need and where do I download those from? Also, do I need any special software on my laptop apart from the pro launcher, esys and esysx to be able to use it for coding or just those 2 and I am good to go? Lastly, how easy/difficult is it to do coding using this method (I am quite handy and smart to pick up things quickly if explained properly or guided properly but I am not a software programmer or coder so don't have that train of thinking)?

Hi Shawn, thanks for your support. I have been helped before with my F30. Now I am getting G20 a couple of weeks ahead. Would like to code it too.

I think I will need new pdz data for it. Or if the old esys and launcher that worked with old F30 good for the new G20.

If not, I would love to get the new link once again. Thanks in advance.

Hi Shawn,
I remember you said the Launcher Pro is going to be expired/ useless soon (can't remember where I saw that). May I know when will that happen?
I finally buy a new laptop and want to start learn coding.
I know there's alternative BimmerUtility works fine, but before I pay it, I want to try something still free to make sure my devices really work.

What's your suggestion?

There is nothing Free to try. I've moved on to BimmerUtility myself.
