When will we see the "production" i4 interior?
By now, I'd have expected some leaks on the car's interior. BMW promised only a 15% difference from the concept car, and I believe they used that 15% up on the exterior.
I fully expect to see different seats an lots of other "gingerbread" we saw on the concept missing on the production car. |

They promised us more i4 news in the "coming weeks" after the reveal.
So far we haven't got any news since then. I'm also hoping that we soon get some official interior shots |

Full reveal of I4
Do you guys remember this vehicle in the picture below from the BMW M Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=08jpHyXtwHE
The "phone number" gives us a hidden notice of the full reveal date. Just read the bold numbers in german date notation and you know the full reveal with specs and prices (The 26 is not the calendar week) You can thank me later |

I'm still at a loss as the hidden reveal date.
Hyundai, KIA, Genesis, Ford, Chevy and others do a full reveal but not BMW. The i4 better blow the others out of the water with pricing and range since BMW must believe they have something so special to offer............ |

It was confirmed to me today by a service employe from BMW. I think BMW only released small details and photos of the outside on March 17th to reassure shareholders and maybe to persuade some Tesla Model 3 prospects to wait until the full details of the I4 are published. |

I saw a picuture of the i4 where you can see a bit of the interior. I have brightened the picture a bit.
You can see quiet good, that the vents are much wider as they are in the normal 4 series and the display (No 1 in the picutre) for climate control unit is gone. The quality of the i4 picture is no the best but it seems that also the control bar for climate (No 2) is gone. I think you can adjust everything for climate on the screen like it is in the iX, which makes sense with this large screen. What you can acutally see at the i4 is the volume control (like in No 3 of the normal 4 series) What disappoints me a little is that BMW does not use the gear selector like it was shown in the i4 concept or the iX, they use the classic gear selector like in the normal 3/4 series Last edited by Chrisss_GER; 04-25-2021 at 03:56 AM.. |

Yes this is a big let down. I am okay with the reuse of components from the normal 4 series. But they could at least upgrade the gear selector to the new one from the iX series. I really hope that the price will be competitive for this car. But based on the price difference between the X3 and iX3, I fear that the i4 will have the exact same price as the iX3. |

"Here you can see the webcast of the all-new fully electric trio: BMW iX, BMW i4 and the first fully electric BMW M." So what happened. Did BMW M cheat on us? And also the BMW service employee? Or did BMW for some odd reason change the date and the whole video hint from last December was ruined? |

Not much has changed compared to the normal 4 series.
Some buttons removed, new vents and then the idrive8 screen added. I already like the current interior space of the 3/4 series, so i'm fine with the i4 interiors. But I was hoping for something a bit more modern looking. See comparison here: Last edited by InsideDK; 05-31-2021 at 03:47 AM.. |

Only gripe is that now they're aren't limited to the hexagonal dash yet their sticking to the weird tach. Could've been more creative with it now with all the new real estate.

New dash layouts will be available to download later on. So we just have to live with this version at launch.

My current car is a VW e-Golf which like the i4 is an EV based on a ICE car. The battery which is not even half the size of the i4 sits under the center tunnel, rear seats and even the front seats. Will be interesting to see how BMW places the battery.
