I ordered my car on January 10th and the build was completed on February 26th. Just got word on Tuesday that it finally made its way onto a ship on the 24th and will be arriving in Baltimore on April 6th. My hope was to have it by the 10th of April for a wedding I'm attending but it doesn't look like that will be possible.

It has been a long wait, but I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel and hey, at least the ship doesn't have to pass through any canals.

3/26 - Production begins

Surprised the car went into production really quick but thankfully I had everything I wanted on the build already so didn't need to make any changes. Happy that I'll be getting my car sooner than I anticipated.

Hi Guys, Figured I would chime in. Went to the dealer January 2 to spec out car. Inquiry made with Germany for approval on Tanzanite blue January 7. Order approved January 11. Car went into production around January 23, was shipped mid February. Car arrived at dealer March 9. I will be picking it up April 30. Riding out the lease on the current 3, BMW wont take the current car back before getting the independent inspection. Also don't have 3 parking spaces. Will post pics when I pick it up. Hopefully I can figure out how to post pics.

This is very interesting. So the dealer is willing to hold the car for you for more than 1 month? It's a sellers market so I would make sure they don't sell it from under you.

It was an individual order . I used BMW of Manhattan which is a corporate store. I purchased two car from them already. They are not worried about a lowly M340i individual. My sales person just sold a M760i to Yoko Ono. They are selling 7 series (all variants) X7 and Alpinas ( all variants) and M cars like crazy. Alot of wealthy people are in that area

Not sure what the sales person selling an M760i has to do with it. I'm not sure how a corporate store works but for regular dealerships they usually won't hold your car for longer than 72 hours unless there's extenous circumstances. Hence my question about them potentially trying to sell it from under you if they have a buyer in store asking for your specific car after seeing it on their inventory online.

Hello There. The car is not listed anywhere on their website as far as I know. The only M340i listed is on their site is a Mineral Grey with Vernasco. I actually drove that car, seems to be their demo. My car is sitting somewhere in storage in Manhattan. They don't have alot of space to store new inventory in the city so they use warehouses. Also storage across the river in NJ. I was told the car will be brought out of storage 3 days before my pick up date to prep it. To be honest not too worried. But your question makes alot of sense and I appreciate the concern.

My #BLU LDR arrived in Baltimore 3/18. I'm supposed to be having the MPE installed at Port.. Work order was opened at the VPC/VDC on 3/22, BMW Genius told me the estimated date of arrival was 3/24 but no movement. I called on 3/25 and 3/26 they said they didn't see any change yet, still no ground carrier assigned. (I thought the MPE would only add 1-2 days). I'm waiting patiently... hoping it'll be this week..

Anyone else experiencing this kind of VPC delay right now?
