Cars headed for the midwest offload at the Baltimore VPC, most east coast dealers offload at the Newark VPC. I think it is supposed to get to Newark around the 10th of April. May want to extend your lease another few days.

I settled Feb 1st but my current F30 lease won't be up 'till end of July so I think the dealer just try to guestimate to meet that timeframe as oppose to allocation (I think 2 months a bit excessive waiting for allocation) ... maybe I just assumed.

So last Thurs. 3/25 they called & told be that the Production number has been assigned.

Okay, gotcha. During negotiations I was told it is difficult to get an allocation for an M440i and it's also been about 3 weeks since we settled. I wonder how difficult it is, if at all.

Yeah, similarly the reason we negotiated so early 'cuz they said the dealer don't get much allocation (I assume) for 4 and/or 8 series so they like to make sure I'll get the slot in time.

Ask your CA if they can trade another dealer for an allocation, it only took a week to secure our allocation from another dealer.

Mine was leased using a broker that uses a dealership just outside of Baltimore. The original plan was to rent a car, drive down to Baltimore to pick it up, drive back through Philly to visit my son at college and then back home to NJ.

Now due to delays I may just have them ship it to me. Either way, as you state it will be close to the 15th.

The very rough, back-of-napkin estimate for a delivery date—several caveats, of course—I just heard from the Genius folks is the first week in June. Refreshing the build tracker umpteen times a day has failed to speed this along at all. Obviously I'll need to redouble my efforts.

Based on the timelines, it looks like it will be here in late April?

I think I’m on the same boat as you. Any idea on how long it takes to get to a dealer from the port? No port side installs for me.

Mine sat in ready for transport for more than two weeks. It had finished assembly on 2/26, moved into "ready for transport" on 3/4 and didn't get put on a ship until the 23/24th of March. No explanation given, just that they are running behind - possibly due to Covid.

Are you taking delivery at BMW of Catonsville? My car shows up in their inventory as being "in transit." I have been told with no port installs it could take a couple of days before it reaches the dealer. I believe my car is on the Tamesis - which is due to arrive in Baltimore on the 8th/9th - originally was supposed to be the 6th but what's a few more days after waiting for three months.

When did yours go into production and VIN assigned? It's been 6 days since I got the VIN but still sitting at "production begins" stage. Mine went into production early too after being a week 15 build.
