Mid 12s in a regular 3 series... that's really impressive but too bad the car costs over $50K.

Yas but for 12-something sec to the quarter, this thing is going to cost like 350 a month. That's insane, apparently.

I was under the impression that the new top of the line 3 series always matched the performance of the 2 generations old M3. So G20=E90M3, F30=E46M3, etc.

With current trends of lowered residuals and rising money factors, where would you get something like this for $350 a month? More like $750 with tax.

Agreed.

My M240 Xdrive did 12.4 sec at 109 mph.

I wonder how much it weighs. (M240 xdrive weighs 3660 lb)
Even with heavier weight, it should do similar to M240 with 50 more hp.

I hear ya. But an Evo is not a 3 series so that comparison is apples and oranges.

ya but the Evo was a tin box no luxury. you can make any car go fast if you just want that. To make a luxury car do it with the weight and handling is a whole different ball game. The 3er does dual role while the Evo did a single role.

One luxury/sport and the other catered towards track/sport. Also, a stock evo 9 wouldn’t trap 112 even in its wildest dreams.

Point is 12.6 does not make the car worth it at 57-70k or more. And luxury cars are not offered with sensatec seats.

I personally believe there's more to owning a BMW than quarter mile times but if that is all that is important .... I'm buying one of these!
