How about the steering weight ? I tried a G20 330i M-Sport, event in Sport+ mode, the steering was so light.

Haha don't worry! I feel your excitement. I keep looking out the window just to look at it.

The steering on the M340i is not light at all. Even on Comfort it's still not light. It feels more like an E90. I really like how it feels!

Thanks for the info, OP. I am taking delivery of my fully loaded M340xi in less than 48 hours and I can’t wait to drive it.

Just picked mine up Thursday too. Car drives great. I'm happy with the steering as well!

Feels close in stiffness to an e90. I do prefer it to my previous M2

Congrats man, and that's real good news about the steering. I'm hearing more and more comments from folks who've taken delivery, everyone has something positive to say. Hows the handling , your coming from an M also , so your perspective would be appreciated. I know it's no M car , just curious. And what packages did the car have , tires runflat ? , also did you get the adaptive M suspension. It's the one option I didn't check, hope I don't regret it.

It's a big car no doubt. It definitely feels a lot bigger on the road compared to the M2 but it drives great. Did a nice cruise in the highway and gave her on the on/off ramps and the car was very well planted. The power delivery is amazing. This thing is fast.

I have a fully optioned spec. Non rft. Adaptive suspension. On some real poor ruts in the road the suspension feels harsh but nothing like the M2. The cabin is a real nice place to be in.

My only other knock is I was expecting a bit more from the exhaust. I've had a 440 with mppsk and honestly it sounded louder in my opinion. Could just be a quieter cabin.

Listen to the posted video on this thread (cold start) by the OP. That sounds pretty aggressive.

Yeah it's definitely alot more car coming from an M2. I test drove a 330i at the dealer, and it didn't feel all that different in size from my M4. I'm just worried now I'll kick myself for not getting the adaptive M suspension for just another $700. I always drive everything Sport+ in my M , so I'm like why even add that option. But from what I've been hearing and reading, the adaptive M suspension is more firm in Sport+ as opposed to the passive Sport+ . Someone tell me I'm not crazy lol and it's no biggie.

Just enjoy what you selected. There was a time bmw was known for achieving the perfect balance with their passive suspension (before adaptive suspensions). You got msport so it'll be fine. Enjoy it!

It works pretty well, but only if you use it correctly. You have to remember that it is a driving "assistant" and not self driving. What I mean is that you would still drive normally as if you didn't have it on. However, it does assist your steering and braking and makes long drives much easier. I barely had to make any turns, my hands just moved with the steering wheel (there was a few instances and few situations where I had to take control, but only for a few seconds). I also didn't brake or press on the gas until I got to my exit. That made it more comfortable than driving my G05 X5, which doesn't have Driving Assistant Professional.
Cool thanks! I’m looking for a break from using my feet in traffic. How long can you drive feet off? There’s a YouTube video of an X3 and X5 and they pitch it kinda like Tesla. Thanks again for your feedback.

You can keep your feet off as long as cruise control, or adaptive cruise control, is on. You just need to be alert and ready to brake in case it doesn't brake on its own, there are a few situations where it won't break when it should. This is why I say it isn't self driving.

If you could code the car so the grills are open at low speeds then it would look great. The fact that you can see the plastic behind the grills really makes it look cheap. There has to be a way to make this happen.

It's not as noticeable in person as it is in the pictures. It also grows on you pretty quickly.

Show us pics even if the lighting conditions suck. Per BMW it does 0-60 in 4.1 and will be faster with flash tune. Are you in Canada how much did you pay?
